Fap Map
The Fap Map is an interactive world map that shows pins for every location you've tracked in your activities. It's a visual way to see where your adventures have taken you!
Accessing the Fap Map
Tap the map icon (🗺️) in the top bar of the app. The map icon is available from any screen.
Map Features
Location Pins
Every location you've created that has GPS coordinates (latitude and longitude) appears as a pin on the map:

|---|---|---|
| 🏠 House | House icon | A location that has partners associated with it (not supported yet) |
| 📍 Pin | Location pin | A location without partner associations |
Marker Clustering
When you have many locations close together, the map automatically clusters them into a single marker showing the count. Zoom in to see individual pins.
Live GPS Tracking
If you grant location permissions, the map shows your current location as an animated blue dot with a shadow effect. This updates in real-time as you move.
Follow Mode
Tap the location FAB (floating action button) to toggle follow mode:
- When enabled, the map automatically centers on your current location
- The icon changes to indicate follow mode is active
Location Info
Tap on any location pin to open a Location Info bottom sheet showing:
- Location name
- GPS coordinates
- Associated partners (if any)
- Activity count at this location
Adding Locations to the Map
Locations appear on the map when they have GPS coordinates set. You can add coordinates when creating or editing a location:
- Go to the Locations section
- Create a new location or edit an existing one
- Set the latitude and longitude (or use your current GPS position)
- Save — the location will now appear on the Fap Map
Location Permissions
The Fap Map uses your device's GPS for the live location feature. You'll be asked for location permissions when you first open the map. You can:
- Allow — See your live location on the map
- Deny — The map still works, but without your current position shown
You can change this permission in your device's settings at any time.
Map Provider
The Fap Map uses OpenStreetMap tiles for the map background, providing a detailed worldwide map without requiring a Google Maps API key.
