Fap Map

The Fap Map is an interactive world map that displays pins for every location you have tracked with GPS coordinates. It provides a visual overview of where your experiences have taken you.

Accessing the Fap Map​

Tap the map icon in the top bar of the app. The map icon is available from any screen.

Map Features​

Location Pins​

Every location with GPS coordinates (latitude and longitude) appears as a pin on the map:

Marker Clustering​

When many locations are close together, the map automatically clusters them into a single marker showing the count. Zoom in to see individual pins.

Live GPS Tracking​

If you grant location permissions, the map shows your current location as an animated blue dot with a shadow effect. This updates in real time as you move.

Follow Mode​

Tap the location button (floating action button) to toggle follow mode:

  • When enabled, the map automatically centers on your current location
  • The icon changes to indicate follow mode is active

Location Info​

Tap on any location pin to open a Location Info bottom sheet showing:

  • Location name
  • GPS coordinates
  • Associated partners (if any)
  • Activity count at this location

Adding Locations to the Map​

Locations appear on the map when they have GPS coordinates set. See Locations for how to create locations with coordinates or use your current GPS position.

Location Permissions​

The Fap Map uses your device's GPS for the live location feature. You are prompted for location permissions when first opening the map:

  • Allow — See your live location on the map
  • Deny — The map still works, but without your current position

You can change this permission in your device settings at any time.

Map Provider​

The Fap Map uses OpenStreetMap tiles for the map background, providing a detailed worldwide map without requiring a Google Maps API key.

  • Year Recap — See your locations featured in the year-end summary
