Positions
Positions represent the sexual positions used during your activities. Track which positions you favor, see per-position statistics, and discover patterns in your preferences.
Managing Positions
Access your positions from the Positions quick stat card on the Home screen.
Your positions are organized into:
- Your Positions — Positions you have created
- Shared Positions — Positions from connected friends (read-only, requires friend permissions)
Creating a Position
- Go to the Positions section
- Tap the + button
- Enter a name for the position
- Optionally add keywords (comma-separated) for auto-matching
- Choose whether automated matching is enabled
- Save
You can also create positions directly during activity creation by tapping the + button in the position selection pills.
Position Properties
| Property | Description |
|---|---|
| Name | The position's display name |
| Keywords | Comma-separated words that trigger auto-matching when found in activity notes |
| Automated | Whether this position is automatically applied when keywords match in notes |
Auto-Positioning
Just like auto-tagging for tags, Fapstats can automatically link positions to activities based on your notes. When you create an activity:
- The system scans your notes field
- It matches words against your existing position names and position keywords
- If a match is found and the position has automated matching enabled, the position is automatically attached to your activity
When you edit a position and enable automation, the system also scans all existing activities and retroactively links the position where matches are found.
Position: "Doggy" with keywords "doggystyle, doggy style, von hinten". If your activity notes contain "doggystyle", the "Doggy" position is auto-applied.

Converting Tags to Positions
If you have been using tags to track positions (for example, a tag called "Doggy" or "Missionary"), you can convert them into proper positions:
- Open the Positions page
- Tap the Convert button in the app bar
- Select the tags you want to convert
- Choose if you want the selected tags deleted after the conversion
- Confirm the conversion
After conversion:
- New positions with the same names are created
- All activities that had the tags are now linked to the new positions
- The keywords and automated state from the tags are carried over to the new positions
- The original tags are removed (if you selected that option)
Sorting Positions
Positions can be sorted by:
- Name (alphabetical)
- Last Used
- Usage Count
- Rating
- Ascending / Descending order
Deleting a Position
You can delete a position in several ways:
| Method | How |
|---|---|
| Detail page | Open the position and tap the Delete button in the app bar |
| Swipe to delete | Swipe left on the position in the list view |
| Long press | Long press on the position to trigger the delete confirmation dialog |
Deleting a position is permanent and removes it from all associated activities.
Shared Positions
When you have friends with the View Positions permission enabled, you can see their positions in a Shared Positions section. Shared positions are read-only.
